About GlendaD

I'm a mum, wife and daughter with two kids. Until recently I owned a beautiful German Shepherd called jake. When the kids left home, he took their place and was spoilt rotten. I live in the Adelaide Hills and work in the city.

Hi Glenda..... Daisy is a great name and it suited my own girl to a "D"!  I know what you mean about the joy and happiness outweighing the loss when our fur babies leave us - it's such a hideous thing - grief, but I wouldn't swap what I had with Daisy for anything, not even the terrible sadness I am experiencing without her.  10 weeks today and still counting :( Thinking of you too - your Jake was such an amazing looking boy. My first dog ever was a long-haired shepherd called Burma.  Sadly, he died at 6 months from tick poisoning.  Looking at Jake gives me an idea of what he would have grown up to look like.  x

Jake was such a magnificent boy, Glenda .... I love the profile shot of him with his head out the car window - such a noble face. My heart really goes out to you - they really leave such a huge hole in your heart and void in your life, don't they?  Jake was lucky to have hadsuch a great family and life with you. RIP Jake.  Best, Vicki

Each week that passes, we feel a tiny bit better.  But we just went for a walk, and it was almost too much to not have him dragging on the lead every time he came across a wonderful smell.

Jakie is always with us on these walks.

I am sorry for your loss.

Your Jake looks like a regal young man.

I am sure our furry companions have a deeper connection to their surrounds and I am v sure they do know when their time is coming to an end.

Jake would be so grateful you enabled him to pass away peacefully and in the comfort of one of his loved companions.  What you are feeling is very normal.

Let yourself grieve Jake and time slowly does what it does best.

They are forever in our hearts.  Take Care KT

Jake is a very handsome one. Your tribute is very beautiful. Don't ever worry about making the right decision. Our babies all know we only do the best for them. Usually better than for ourselves, right? Thanks for sharing. Peace

What a beautiful boy Jake was, he will be watching over you from Rainbow Bridge, and he will be thanking you for a wonderful and full life. Think of all the wonderful memories and picture him running around and playing with all his new friends at Rainbow Bridge
